The "Tale of the Lost Swan Egg" featuring the hare Persimmon and his friends, is a children's book unlike any other. The characters come to life in ways that are rarely, if ever, seen; blackberry using, networking, and headset wearing are a few. Their everyday lives take them on exciting adventures in Stanley Park, where they live and interact with one another. The illustrations paint a rich and vivid picture of what the friends look like, endearing them to the readers' hearts and helping the listeners' and readers' imaginations run wild!

The stories behind the characters lives are written so well, you get to know who they are and what they are about. Each character is descriptively different. Surely favourites will be chosen while the tale unfolds, for a lasting adventure which is definitely not your typical run of the mill kids book with weak plots, boring climaxes, and flat endings. The "Tale of the Lost Swan Egg" will leave children smiling and holding their breath, and laughing along the way. This unforgettable book will possibly make mommies tear up, and sear the imaginations and dreams of all with the wonderful world of Persimmon.

A very good descriptive work. Makes you feel like you are really there and are involved in the the story. Also the illustra- tions are just wonderful and all of my five children really en- joyed listening to the story. They asked a lot of questions about what is going to happen next.
